Aleatory

Definition and background:

a piece of music whose composition or performance depends on improvisation, or on chance. the ad lib passages of baroque keyboard pieces are aleatory, as are those by modern composers who deliberately leave elements in an indeterminate state or compose using notes generated at random on a computer
