Definition and background:

A lively Spanish dance in 3/4 time. It is often accompanied by the castanets and sometimes with singing. a Spanish dance that is usually performed by pairs of dancers who accompany themselves with castanets and voices. Ravel's orchestral Bolero is for ballet, not for dancing a real bolero
