too much; usually seen as non troppo, meaning moderately or, when combined with other terms, not too much, such as allegro [ma] non troppo (fast but not too fast)A term meaning too much and used to qualify a directive in the performance of a certain passage of a composition. For example, the term allegro non troppo would mean a fast tempo ( allegro) but not too much (or too fast).
